Life in the Buchanan Cottage is centered around the large Great Room which features a brick fireplace, exposed beams and of course windows overlooking the beach. The Dining Room has abundant space to seat at least 10, with built-in cupboards, knotty pine paneling and windows all around.
Typical of Southern homes of the period, the Kitchen is situated to take advantage of cross-breezes and keep the rest of the home cool. A Butler's Pantry is convenient to the Dining Room and adds lots of extra storage.
Each bedroom is unique, with period furniture and connecting suites that can accommodate familes of all descriptions. Modern upgrades include ceiling fans, wall thermostats for heating, smoke detectors and many new windows. The bathrooms have also been renovated.
